iCloud Sync
Sync your collection across all your Apple devices
To sync your plant collection across devices, you need:
- Sign in with Apple (in Sylvie settings)
- iCloud enabled on your device
- Same Apple ID on all devices you want to sync
Once set up, all plant data and photos sync automatically via CloudKit. Changes made offline will sync when you reconnect.
If your data isn't appearing on another device, check these:
- Both devices are signed into the same Apple ID
- iCloud is enabled in iOS Settings
- Sylvie has Sign in with Apple active
- Wait a few minutes — sync may be delayed
- Force-close and reopen the app (or follow the in-app "Restart to Enable Sync" prompt if shown)
If sync seems stuck, check your internet connection and verify iCloud has available storage in Settings > Data.
For conflicting data, Sylvie uses last-write-wins — the most recent change is preserved. Care logs are append-only and don't conflict.
