Getting Started

1. Open Sylvie and go to Settings
2. Tap Sign in with Apple
3. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
4. Your data will sync across all devices signed into the same iCloud account

Signing in unlocks iCloud sync and increases your daily plant identification limit from 3 to 10.

There are two ways to add a plant:

Via Identification:

1. Tap the camera button
2. Take a photo or select from your library
3. Review the identification result
4. Tap Add to Collection
5. Optionally assign a nickname and room

Via Manual Entry:

1. Tap the camera button
2. Tap Add Manually
3. Enter plant details (nickname required)
4. Optionally add species, room, and acquisition info

Sylvie has three user tiers:

• Anonymous (not signed in) — 3 plant IDs per day, local data only, no sync
• Signed In (free with Apple ID) — 10 plant IDs per day, iCloud sync enabled
• Premium (see pricing in app) — Unlimited IDs, AI features, condition-aware tips, wishlist, and more

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Account
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the action

Warning: Account deletion permanently removes all data from all devices. This action cannot be undone.

Apple only sends your name and email on the very first sign-in. If you deleted your account and signed in again, Apple won't resend that info. To fix this:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Go to Sign-In & Security
4. Tap Sign in with Apple
5. Find Sylvie in the list
6. Tap Stop Using Apple ID
7. Return to Sylvie and sign in again

This resets the connection so Apple treats the next sign-in as a fresh start and sends your name and email again.
